About Us

Requiem Press was formed with two missions:

  1. To spread the devotion of praying for the Holy Souls of Purgatory; and
  2. To reintroduce the present generation to the heroic virtue of the faithful departed.

Both aspects of this mission will be primarily accomplished through the publication of books - Catholic books, both original and reprints of Catholic classics.

Requiem Press was launched in the spring of 2004 to publish books which illustrate God's action in the history of mankind and man's response to God. We hope by the telling of stirring tales of those departed 'marked with the sign of Faith' a new generation can be inspired to live a life of sacrificial love for God.

At Requiem Press we have a special devotion of praying for the Holy Souls in Purgatory. This devotion of the Church Militant in participating in the Communion of Saints has been neglected in recent years. By our special publications and booklets, we hope to revive this devotion so that the Church Suffering's deepest longings for Heaven can be realized.

Requiem Press is a family business. Our oldest daughter Krystle, (when she is not away at college), assists at tradeshows and does some of the layout for our books. Our oldest son Nicholas does some of the cover design work. He also is our chief Bible passage researcher. Connor, Mathhew, Theresa, Thomas, and Bernadette always lend a hand when we have postcards to mail or books to ship.

About Our Covers

In publishing Catholic books, we try to use original cover art from Catholic artists.

The cover for “Witnesses to the Holy Mass” was taken from a larger sketch drawn by Elizabeth Nyikos, at that time, a high school senior and a very talented musician at piano and clarinet.

The covers for The Relation of Church and State in the Middle Ages and for The Chapel Veil-symbol of the spouse of Christ are work of Nicholas Mason, a student at Christendom College in Front Royal, VA. His art studio is called Lux Graphic Design Studio.

The cover for “The Maccabees” featuring the 'hand of God wielding a hammer ('maccabees') was drawn by Kris Merschat SC.

The cover for Two Towers was designed and created by Sherri Trial of Carlisle, PA. More of her work can be seen at her website: SherriTrial.com.
